The Hill House. My Home.
The Manifestation of a Momentous Dream
And... Happy Hill House moments:
Welcome to my home, The Hill House!
It started off as a little spark of hope, set alight by the need for a bigger home that we could simply not afford. In the end it burst into an almighty fireball of doing that was nearly my un-doing.
The Journey to The Hill House has certainly been my largest, and most taxing, creative undertaking. If nothing else, it proved, to myself at least, that ingenuity and imagination really do forge wondrous pathways. I designed and oversaw every miniscule detail as she was built and as she grew out of the ground, she became a part of my soul.
It was an extraordinary adventure of discovery, and one that taught me much about my own abilities and limits and more interestingly... the perceived limits I could push through to reach even further than I had imagined...
This voyage was a turning point in my life, and although it has taken many years to complete the turn, the tests and difficulties have been the most tremendous gifts, revealing parts of myself hitherto hidden beneath. Our greatest and truest potentiality is often unlocked through hardship, and this has certainly been the case for me.
Marvellously, in this house I am finally setting myself free. She is a house of immense creativity and she inspires me everyday, not only because of the space, designed to fit us just so, but because of the memories it holds of the personal quest I went on to get here... it became almost a rite of passage.

I live in The Hill House with my husband, David and our amazing, quirky daughter The Bumble Bee. We are blessed with an astounding view over the beach and sea which rewards us with an ever changing perspective on our days here. Every day my spirit smiles at the inside-outside fusion the rooms offer us. I try not to take it for granted and remember often to offer my gratitude for where I am.
